Freedom, Founding Fathers, and The Trial of Christ

HeaderIt’s hard to explain, especially in just a few words, but I’ll try. People always ask me why I wrote my books in such seemingly different areas or topics.

My first book, “Founding Fathers—Uncommon Heroes” is a book with chapters about six of our Founding Fathers. Men who had the courage to establish the United States of America. The six men are Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, and James Madison.

My second book, “The Illegal Trial of Christ,” came at the request of my publisher, who knew I gave popular presentations about this topic. This book includes biographical information about the many players involved in the four trials that took place at the end of Christ’s life. In this book I also explain some of the rules, procedures, and laws in effect at that time. Both Roman law and Hebrew law. By understanding these people and their circumstances, readers will come to recognize and grasp why some things are worded the way they are in the four Gospels.

My third book was written to explain what I did as a professional estate-planning attorney. Written in plain English, this book is full of anecdotes, stories and explanations about what a person is to do with his personal and real property to make sure it does what he wants upon death. This book is titled: “You Can’t Take It With You, So How Will You Leave It Behind? A Plain English Guide to Wills and Trusts.”

(Now in between these books are a couple of other minor books, “Give Me Liberty” a beautiful quote book, still available and “The Revocable Living Trust” a book of estate planning forms, now out of print.)

What I found in writing my last book, is that, believe it or not, these all have something in common! There is a common thread.

In the lives of our Founding Fathers (“Founding Fathers—Uncommon Heroes”), you will discover a perseverance and a belief in God that is inspiring. They all valued their freedom and liberty, even above their lives.

In the actions of the Romans and the members of the Hebrew Sanhedrin (“The Illegal Trial of Christ”), you will encounter much of the opposite in the lives of those in charge. Freedom from bondage, perseverance, and, of course, an indomitable faith in God the Father are apparent in the life of the Son.

These traits are also apparent in those who want to leave their hard earned assets to those they choose without government interference. The Common Law is quickly being superseded by civil law, that is law passed in statutory form by our legislatures, rather than law as previously established in the courts.

Just maybe this will all become more clear in my next book, “A Patriot in Prison.” This will be my story about how I was indicted by a grand jury for conspiracy to defraud the government. Because I did not have “deep pockets”, I was compelled to plead guilty to one count of this to avoid prosecution for 9 such counts.

Interestingly enough I was later vindicated, cleared and absolved of these same charges by a civil court, an appellate court, and an additional higher court appeal. The reverse O.J. Simpson outcome.

So, you see, all of my books have an element of freedom of choice, perseverance, liberty, and faith. And I think you’ll really like the next one!
