Happy Thanksgiving. As I was writing my report yesterday about how thankful I am for learning about the Illegal Trial of Christ, it occurred to me that I wouldn’t have ever written that book if the distributor for my book “Founding Fathers—Uncommon Heroes” hadn’t known that I had given several presentations about that trial. The distributor knew me well.
When Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion” came out and was so successful, my distributor called me and said they wanted me to put my material about the trial of Christ into a book. And because of current interest, they wanted it NOW!
So I wrote that book. I never would have done so if my interest and presentations about the Founding Fathers wasn’t so solid and strong. Because of requests from those who heard my lectures, I eventually wrote my book “Founding Fathers—Uncommon Heroes.” It sold well through my distributor.
So I must also be very thankful for the lives of the Founders of the new American nation. Their stories are all so profound and amazing and inspiring, that we should all be grateful for their lives, especially at this Thanksgiving season.
I’m afraid that we have forgotten how much they sacrificed for us. As Abigail Adams asked: “I wonder if future generations will ever know what we have suffered on their behalf.”
Thank you John and Abigail Adams. And George and Martha Washington. And Benjamin and Dorothy Franklin. And Patrick and Sallie and Dorothea Henry, And Thomas and Martha Jefferson, And James and Dolley Madison. Yes, even all the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
