“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” –Marcus Tillius Cicero
Along with Marcus I’ve learned you need to take some time to just consider your blessings. What do you have to be thankful for? In the busy-ness of our daily life, it is sometimes difficult to stop, take some time to think about ,and realize the many blessing that surround you.
Today I’m thankful for our rain. And I’m thankful for our usually blue skies. But especially I am thankful today for our Founding Fathers who had the foresight to give us freedom and prosperity.
I’m thankful that our Country seems to be giving a little more thought recently to the gifts of liberty they provided for us in the Constitution. I have deep gratitude that we now have some aspiring leaders that want to see that we honor and safeguard those freedoms.
We cannot have gratitude for those blessings unless we take some time to read our founding documents and consider the words of the Founders. Those words are not a bit out of date. They are magnificent!
