The football game between Southern Methodist University and Notre Dame had just begun when the Fighting Irish scored a touchdown. A spectator immediately jumped to his feet, yelled in an unabashed tone and patted his neighbor on the back.

When just a few moments later, Southern Methodist scored a touchdown. That same spectator sprang to his feet again, and yelled with delight at the outcome.

Well, that aroused the person’s curiosity who was sitting next to this man. He asked: “Which team are you rooting for, friend?”

“I don’t really care who wins,” responded this spectator, “I only came out to enjoy the game!”

“Aha,” the neighbor sneered, “an atheist.”

With all the yelling about the outcome of the last Presidential election, I can’t help but wonder if those who are complaining so loudly, just continue shouting to enjoy the game. They just love to hear themselves yell and get so much attention. Kind of like athiests

Our Founding Fathers put it all on the line for them. And for all of us. We should try to enjoy the game.
